He wishes for the Cloths of Heaven- William Butler Yeats

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths,
Of night and light and half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

Here's for my fellow rangers---the hidden kings and queens---who have yet to reveal their true identities. He has given us our swords and declared, "Become who you were born to be."

I have heard your thoughts
I see your mind
You are a small tree
a root
a seed
You feel the thunder
You drink its rain
The smallest creature can bring you pain.

Pain you know is always brief.
The sun
The moon
You sense relief.
But the towering trees stand so high.
All around you they praise the sky.

The sun is choked
The moon does die
You feel your body beginning to dry
You doubt your purpose to be a tree
You doubt everything you were meant to be.

To fill the sky will all your green
To shelter a man from a sun unseen.
To hold a bird always up in the sky.
To paint the fall mountain with a beautiful dye.

Then you feel it coming now.
The steps are soft with clumsey grace.
over the ridge and down the hill.
I see her now, this can't be real.
Skipping
Playing
She finds me here
She plucks me up, i have no fear
My roots are open
breathing fresh air.
She carries me off from my despair.

I never grew into a mighty oak.
The soil's warm milk my roots won't soak.

I lay on the ground in an old empty field.
Tossed aside but not to be killed

I have heard your thoughts
and seen you mind
1000 trees of every size
She came to me, a only me
With her soft hands, a smiling glee.
In her fingers we danced, no sound
I saw my world from all around
The stream
The squirrel they watched me go
Where I went they would never know

This little girl, she had chose me
of all the trees I was hers to be.

i like it! best yet shea...it would be a cool short film...no words...just music and artistic shots from the tree's perspective.

Yo Frenchy...I'm really diggin' the Yeats you've been posting lately. I love the imagery he conjours up. Anyways, yeah, if you're around tonight at Papas, we'll see you there!

Sheamus, I want you...I need you. Actually, it'd be cool to do a music video together. What are your thoughts...?
